My Prayer Today 01/30/2006

Heb 11:1 NKJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Lord, today, this above all I pray for. You know my heart, Lord, and therefore you know that I long for stronger faith with all my heart and soul. I ask you to grant me the conviction of my true, innermost belief. I need that conviction to be powerful, to overcome the tricks of doubt that come unwanted into my mind.  I ask, Lord, that you show me the way to true faith

Lord, I ask you to grant me the power to keep Your word in my heart. And Jesus foremost in my life so that I might fight the good fight. God, I know that prayer is my lifeline to You. My means of communicating with You. I know that You want me to really speak to You. To openly communicate my thoughts, hopes, fears, dreams, wants and needs. I ask that you help me to communicate with You well. Give me the strength to overcome thoughts of unworthiness that prevent me from being completely open to You. Help me to pray thankfully and with an appreciative heart. Above all, Father, help me to pray with faith.

Help me not to be selfish in my prayers. To pray for others before myself. Give me the wisdom to praise You at all times and to work today as if working for Your glory. To do my very best today selflessly.

In Jesus, my saviors name, Amen
